God, I love this series and I just have to ask "Why can't Patricia Briggs write more quickly?!?"

First of all, let me say that the change of location for the story was the winner for me. Also, although I love Adam, I enjoyed that Mercy was by herself and cut off from the back. It brought back memories of Moon Called and Blood Bound which were the original books that got me hooked on this series.

Silence Fallen is another solid book from Briggs. I adore the world Briggs has created to play in. Each book brings something new. This time Mercy and some of the pack head to Europe...not for a vacation! We get details about the werewolves and vampires of those regions and how they are connected to Bran and the vampire, Marsilia. No fae action in this one, but plenty of ghosts. Mercy is forced to explore her powers involving ghosts. I also loved seeing more of the goblin Larry and his dry humor ...more

Mercy has issues with her bond (again) and is abducted (again). Would like to read something new. The difference is this: she is taken to Europe and Adam and allies must travel to her. Mercy saves herself and gets caught (again). The master vamp of Europe and the alpha of Prague are introduced (more characters to keep track of!).
While I did like this (when it was all said and done), I don't think it did anything regarding furthering Mercy's story-line.

Mercy is kidnapped and taken to Europe by a vampire. Adam follows her to the vampire but she has escaped before he gets there.

Chaos and destruction follow Mercy has she flees trying to find her way back to Adam and home.

I loved this latest Mercy Thompson story! Not much of the rest of the pack but lots of Mercy and Adam. And a surprise visitor!

Will it be another couple of years before there's another book? So hard to wait between books. ...more
