Have to thank Sarah, since she's the person who officially recommended this to me last November, but many other friends mentioned it as well. This is one of those rare instances when a book is loved by many for good reason.

Even better the 2nd time ar0und. First time to reread a b0ok and I fell in l0ve with it again.
I have been meaning to read this book for quite a while now and I haven't been quite sure what to expect but I was hooked after the very first chapter!
The story is about Penryn, a young woman who is looking after her mother who has mental health probles and her young sister who is paralyzed in a world that has been taken over by angels. The angels have destroyed the way of life and the streets are run by viscous gangs and survival is key.

Oh my freaking g'#*/!!! What a truly amazing and horrifying book! It deserves 6 stars at the least. And for starters the depth of the story and the carnage is definitely not YA. And I wish that the book never ended. And I'm so excited to share this with my fellow book readers, I couldn't form a coherent review and I just want gush over it over and over and over again.

Definitely hit the ground running, and now I have to wait for the second book in the series. The middle slowed down just a bit, but not enough to bore me. Thank goodness Raffe goes by another name because this one didn't cut it for me.
