Both Raphael and Parish were full of passion. Though overall a little short, they were both great reads and the entire premise is too intriguing to miss. I love me some sexy alpha shifters, cats especially, and having them be bayou loving southern boys just about did me in. Both heroines were great as well and I look forward to learning more about this world in future stories. Kinda hoping the next one is a bit longer though. Keep ‘em coming Laura and Alexandra!

Pretty cool story!! Definitely different & in a nice way.
What I didn't like was the over the top "smut" scenes that if I didn't
have my kindle I would have just torn the pages out from the book..
(sorry, I'm not interested in reading about any of that.. So, if you
do you will enjoy the fact that there is plenty of action in the first
chapter, several times..and it just continues..) Yuck.. lol

This is two linked short stories, written by two separate authors. Not a bad premise, the world building has potential, but a bit light on character development due to the story length. I listened to them on audible and the narration was so, so, not bad, but a bit too drawn out in the speed of the reading for my taste.
I will read the rest of the series, mainly because it ends on a cliffhanger (grr), but will probably avoid the audio.
