A great kick ass heroine who doesn't feel the need to spout how bad ass she is to the reader, and to everyone in the book. She proves she's kick ass by actually... kicking ass.
I really like Kate Daniels as a Heroine. The story kept me interested, tho I did find some aspects confusing. I enjoyed how Andrews implores her vampires as gross, mean and killing machines. There is no romantic vampire notions here in this series :P

Possibly loved it even more than the first time I read it.

This is very much an Urban Fantasy novel. And I loved it.
Our heroine is smart but doesn't know everything, strong but knows her weaknesses, is mean and feisty and doesn't take sh*t from anyone, which is both good and bad. Her mouthiness does get her into trouble but she somehow always pulls back in time. Her ...more

even though this book has gotten pretty good ratings i didn't really expect to like it - but i did.
It started out very slow and confusing for me, but towards the end i did understand the World more. So saying, i guess the world building could have been done better. Of course, that's assuming I'm not the only person who got confused and felt like they just got thrown into a World with no information on it.
