I have started a lot of new series lately, but this one would have to be up there as one of my favourites. I will admit, I did have to work hard throughout the book to fully understand the world and the rules which applied within it, but Kate was just such a brilliant heroine that it was definitely worth the effort. I equate this book to a television show you catch on a Saturday afternoon while flipping through the channels. You have no idea what's going on, but you watch anyway just to see what happens. Then it ends and you're interested in it enough to find out when it really comes on so you can watch the next episode.
I liked Kate. She was cool. I wasn't too thrilled about what happened between her and Crest. I don't blame her because he seemed too random to not have on ones radar as someone not to trust ...more
