I really, really enjoyed the main characters Harper and Knox and I'm thrilled to learn the next book in the series continues to focus on them. The world of the Primes and the different species (imps, sphinxes, succubi, hellhounds, etc) was very interesting and that concept that you can have an anchor and a mate but the two are not necessarily the same person. Novel 3.5 stars, Audible narration 2.5 stars

I listened to the audible edition of this novel. The story was quite good, but the narration was a bit grating and did not fit the female protagonist very well at all. Also most of the character voices seemed interchangeable, which made it difficult to follow conversation with multiple characters sometimes.

For a 'dominant' character I found 'Harper' didn't give 'Knox' as much of a run for his money as say Taryn did Trey in Feral Sins, the first of the ...more

Reread august 14 2019, 3.5 stars

I read this for the first time in 2017 and only gave it three stars but after reading all the great reviews from people I know often have the same taste a me I wondered 'what did I miss?'

So when I saw all four books about Knox and Harper was out. I decided to reread and give this series another chance.

Wish I hadn’t waited so long to start this series. It is mmm mmm good..
Am already in the 2nd book and will be reading all 4.

If you liked her Phoenix Pack, or Deep in Your Veins series, you will like the Dark in You series, as well.
