What a fun series starter this was. I've had Lisa Shearin on my radar for both this series and her earlier one for a while. I'm so glad that BSB gave me a push to finally read her. Mac is a newbie, a seer for the SPI so she gives the reader an in to this paranormal world without the dreaded infodump. While I saw some Stephanie Plum comparisions, I'm not sure I'd make them.
