The Beautiful Ashes begins with Ivy searching for her younger sister. Jasmine's gone missing and all Ivy has is an SOS text from Bennington, VT. During her search, we learn that Ivy sees things that no one else can see and for no reason that anyone can figure out. That is until she meets Adrian and Zach.

I want to get the one thing that I didn't like off my chest first. I absolutely hate when people keep secrets from the person or people, they need help from. Tell them the truth and let the chips fall where they may.
Other than that, I thought this was a solid opening for the first book in a trilogy. I love that Ivy was willing to do whatever it takes to save her sister, even though she didn't really know what she was getting into.

Didn't enjoy this at all, in fact I ended up skimming it. Was it YA? NA? or just a childish fantasy? Not sure and I don't care, about any of them.
This was my 2nd attempt at reading the book, needless it didn't end well. Such a shame after Cat & Bones :(
