Having a really hard time finishing this one up. When I first started reading it I was sitting with my father-in-law who is now deceased. When I see the cover I think of him, and the wound is refreshed.

Great follow up to the first book in this series. I like that this story shakes it up with the strong female not wanted to be attached and the strong male not wanting to let her go. Isabelle and Thomas were well suited for each other. Anya Bast creates both a great intricate world and knows how to write the smexy. I always look forward to reading her books. I can't wait to read the next!

I don't like the heroine. She was too brash and, frankly, came across as TSTL sometimes to me. The hero was hot, but not enough to make up for the boring plot. I was less than thrilled with the 1st in this series and since I can't even get through the 2nd book, I am not going to bother with the rest.
