This was a fun read as Meryn discovers paranormal exists and she is the mate of a shifter.

What I enjoyed:
* The secondary characters were great. Loved Aiden's family and team. Meryn made some great friends.
* The shopping scenes was hilarious
* As much as Meryn was getting close to being a Mary Sue, she was still an enjoyable character

What could have been better:
* Meryn was hitting Mary Sue territory. For someone who claims to be anti-social she sure managed to be the belle of the ball and socially ...more

Oh my, the banter in this book was hilarious....I haven't read such a funny book in a very long time.

This is an insta-love story, the secondary characters in this book are just great.

I just found Meryn character was made to be too perfect.

I liked the whole dreaming of your mate thing.

Can't wait for Gavriel's book.

"What did you do?" "Hit him over the head with the back of the toilet." she whispered. "Seriously?" Colton began to shake with laughter.

So we have yet another fated mates series, but the difference between this and a lot of others out there was this was actually added comedy into the mix and I was laughing my ass off the entire book. I loved MY COMMANDER and I will definitely be continuing on with more awesomeness in this series!

3 stars - At times very funny, juxtaposed with some very clumsy narration and plot development

At times this story had me laughing out loud, but at other times I wanted to hit my head against a brick wall for the way the plot and character development was delivered with all the finesse of a bulldozer.
