...This is fun, but why assume a guy did the product placement?

★★★★✩ (This is a review of the audiobook.) Charlotte Kane’s narration of this fun book is awesome! She is great with differentiation and various accents. She has the heroine’s snark just right, without making her sound like a b!tch; in addition, she does a good job with the male voices, too.

This was one of the funniest PNRs I've read in a long time.

Lots of action, hunky paranormal warriors, a snarky h who loves coffee and sweet tea. She also is almost pathologically connected to her laptop and doesn't believe in shifters, vamps & the fae until her shifter mate finds her trespassing in an 'other' land.

There were plenty of WTF moments that stretch belief, but if you're prepared to go with the flow, I'm sure you'll really enjoy this series. Who doesn't want to out-snipe the bitch putt ...more

Needed to revisit this series before the next book came out.

Still loved the whole crew. Meryn Rocks. The stuff that comes out of her mouth. Or when the guys go to the store for supplies OMG laughing my ass off. Love this writer.

Bewitched and Bewildered is sure to be a wild ride if My Commander is any indication of what's to come. I rarely do more than scan my friends' ratings, if that, before starting a book, but this time I read a few. And, Sandra's comment in her review nailed it: "There were plenty of WTF moments that stretch belief, but if you're prepared to go with the flow, I'm sure you'll really enjoy this series."

Although Aiden and Meryn have been dreaming of each other/their mate for several weeks, only Aiden Bewitched and Bewildered is sure to be a wild ride if My Commander is any indication of what's to come. I rarely do more than scan my friends' ratings, if that, before starting a book, but this time I read a few. And, Sandra's comment in her review nailed it: "There were plenty of WTF moments that stretch belief, but if you're prepared to go with the flow, I'm sure you'll really enjoy this series."

Although Aiden and Meryn have been dreaming of each other/their mate for several weeks, only Aiden realizes just who he's found when their paths finally intersect. Meryn, on the other hand, is understandably panicked when Aiden and his merry band of over-sized paranormals grab her and forcibly take her to his parents' home. She's yet to make the connection (Aiden = dream man) and puts up a fierce fight to escape. Meeting the parents, who immediately put her at ease, changes everything. [Just Roll with It Moment #1]

Despite quickly warming up to Aiden, the men of his unit and his family, Meryn is an introvert. The responsibilities that come with her new "position" are what prove to be her biggest challenge, not acclimating to the idea that there are four paranormal cities full of immortal vampires and near-immortal shifters, fae and witches. [JRWIM #2] Her tell-it-like-it-is, spirited, supreme fangirl personality lightens the mood, breaks the tension, and builds strong relationships. Because the paranormals in this series have very long lives, much of what Meryn does and says is lost on some. However, it certainly makes for some very funny and some very touching scenes. (view spoiler) [JRWIM #5]

Echoing Sandra's thoughts, if you can just roll with it, you will enjoy the ride. It was only after I finished reading it and started breaking it down for a review that I realized how certain storylines felt rushed or incomplete. It is the beginning of series though, so many opportunities to continue those storylines.

I loved the characters! All of them. I'm anxious to read more about them and this world Alanea Alder has created. That said, the bouts of missing commas and occasional misspellings was a bit of an annoyance.

"What did you do?" "Hit him over the head with the back of the toilet." she whispered. "Seriously?" Colton began to shake with laughter.

So we have yet another fated mates series, but the difference between this and a lot of others out there was this was actually added comedy into the mix and I was laughing my ass off the entire book. I loved MY COMMANDER and I will definitely be continuing on with more awesomeness in this series!
