OMG - I did not think the day would come when I have a DNF on a Nora Roberts book !!!!!!!!!!
How the hell did this happen???????? Maybe because the heroine Iona was the most annoying lead that I have ever, ever read & that is saying a lot. I wished & hoped that Branna really would have smacked her as every other start to a sentence began with " I'm sorry...". I hated Iona, I could not connect with her. She was just too immature, too needy, TSTL, she had no filters, any thought just came out. But ...more

I think I liked the whole overall story more than the actual romance. I didn't really get Iona & Boyle's connection. It seemed to go where ever the plot needed it to go. But still, I really liked the mythology and the group as a whole. Don't get me wrong I did like both Iona & Boyle, it's just that the connection between family and friends felt more real and emotional to me than their romance did. I've got to see where it goes next with Connor and Meara and then really want to see Branna and Fin

This one was a good read.. some parts of it made me tear up with how good the feelings coming off the main character were. Iona, she is such a bright, happy, cheerful woman who desires nothing more than to be loved and to love. When she moves to Ireland she finds the love she desires - in family, and friends and more.
This is my first Nora Roberts book I've read - because I'm not one to read books where romance is the main stage of the plot. This was a nice mix. Although I did feel like it was k ...more

Very disappointed. The introductory chapter was great but the rest of the book was difficult to finish, just couldn't hold my interest and I am a fan of Nora Roberts.

All of Robert's paranormal trilogies are pretty formulaic, but it is a good formula which leads to an enjoyable book.
What I enjoyed:
* Iona was an interesting character who just jumped into life and anything that interested her
* The animal companions and horses in general
* The description of Ireland, I so want to visit after reading this
* The prologue story of Sorcha
What could have been better:
* Very formulaic - I knew who would be couples and what book they would be featured in after meeting the ...more

Wow a great combination of all the themes i love from previous Roberts books combined in a new, sexy, and unique way. Cannot wait for Connor and Meara's story. This series is going to kick ass!
