★★★★½ Audiobook has excellent narration, if a bit dramatic at times with the spells. Really enjoyed the book. A perfect March read. Lyrical and descriptive; made me wish I was in Ireland.

This book has reminded me of how much I love Nora Roberts trilogies. They all have a similar vibe, mainly because no matter what the plot is about the books are also always about family.
Sarca is a witch raising three children. She is known as the Dark Witch. There is a sorcerer trying to get her powers so that he can become more powerful.
She is able to fool him and pass her powers on to her three children, and those three pass on these power to their children through generations to come.

Very disappointed. The introductory chapter was great but the rest of the book was difficult to finish, just couldn't hold my interest and I am a fan of Nora Roberts.

* The animal companions and horses in general
* The description of Ireland, I so want to visit after reading this
* The prologue story of Sorcha
What could have been better:
* Very formulaic - I knew who would be couples and what book they would be featured in after meeting the ...more

What an amazing start to another Nora Roberts trilogy! Looking forward to the next book to see how it builds on this one.
