Mel took over her father's construction business after her divorce and her mother's death to help out her father, but it seems to have taken over her life. Now she's starting to see ghosts.
What I enjoyed:
* No triangle in site and the romance is starting off slow.
* Mel can take care of herself.
* There is a good cast of supporting characters.
* Nice tidbits about renovation and gemology scattered in the story.
What could have been better:

Mel Turner runs her dad's construciton business and specializes in renovating historic homes. When a gruesome murder happens during a demolition party, Mel is thrust into the investigation. It doesn't help that she is seeing ghosts that want to help...or not. Interesting twists, good historical information and an old crush. Enjoyable.

So, I probably liked more on a 3.5 or even 4 star level, but I'm tired and crabby and I know I didn't love it like her Witchcraft Mystery series...but chances are I'll be ordering the next book in this series as soon as it's available.
