What Members Thought

Dark Debt, the eleventh book in Neill's Chicagoland Vampires, is a refreshing return to the aspects of the series I've been missing. There's always a lot happening at once in this series' books. In this installment, there's a big bad from Ethan's past; an arrogant millionaire and mob out to ruin the Houses; a masquerade ball to attend; a House's continued existence in jeopardy; and a wedding announcement.
What I enjoyed most:
➀ Ethan shows some humanity: "I'm scared to my bones." (view spoiler) ...more

I kept putting off reading this one as the last couple of books seemed to lose their sparkle a little for me, I found this one has brought back a lot of aspects that I've been missing. I'm still loving Ethan, and the relationship between him and Merit. I did miss the Were's, as this book was concentrated on the Vampires. It'll be interesting to see what happens next with Morgan and House Navarre, and also what other surprises are in store for Cadogan.

Hopefully the series will be wrapping up soon.
