We start at a baseball game, but quickly ramp up to needing to save all of Chicago.

What I enjoyed:
* I enjoyed the pre-game scenes where everyone is just being normal and there is no crisis
* It was nice to see Mallory in control and in a good place
* (view spoiler)

What could be better:
* Alchemy was boring
* Seemed a bit repetitive
* Neither Merit or Ethan seemed capable of behaving rationally either to threats or with each other for most of the book
