Just as good the second or third time around. I had to reread this to remind myself that my faith in Neal Stephenson, which was getting strained by the horror that is Mongoliad, was not misplaced. And it isn't. Nobody does techno thrillers quite like this but they should. And, get this, Cryptonomicon was written before Stephenson had his sense of humor surgically removed so there are parts that are actually laugh out loud funny. ...more
