So Jaz, Vayl and the whole gang are back in Morocco, but Vayl has been cursed and he thinks it's 1777. Which means he has no clue who anybody is, so he identifies them as the people that were around him at that time. They all have to play along, which turns out funny at times. But it's a very sad experience for Jaz.

After losing Matt she didn't want to feel alone again, but now she's lost Vayl. He won't remember who she is, misses her birthday and thinks she's his house maid Mrs. Bergia. And get ...more

Jaz Parks is back and better than ever and even though she is finally together with her vampire boss Vayl, things are going far from smoothly. A curse has been put upon Vayl while on their latest trip and now he thinks he is living centuries in the past, way before Jaz was a born, and he sees his crew and Jaz herself as completely different people.

The 7th book in the Jaz Park series wasn’t my favorite but still had its kick butt action, Jazs’ sarcastic and tough girl appeal, Vayl being his charming self, and the rest of the crew dealing with the craziness that always surrounds them. The 7th book in the Jaz Park series wasn’t my favorite but still had its kick butt action, Jazs’ sarcastic and tough girl appeal, Vayl being his charming self, and the rest of the crew dealing with the craziness that always surrounds them. I’ve been with this series since the beginning, of course, but since there was only one more book left I waited a bit to read book 7 until 8 got closer. I’m deeply saddened by the loss of Jennifer Rardin and will forever cherish her books and her wonderful writing.

This time the gang is looking for an artifact in Morocco that will help get rid of the demons possessing Jaz. But the major problem with that is a curse has been placed on Vayl and his stuck in the past and being a real jerk.

From the beginning of being introduced to Cole I forever have enjoyed his awesome bickering and laugh out loud moments with Jaz. It was hard for me to get really into this book because Jaz was a bit on the mopey side with Vayl thinking she someone else

They also have to deal with the fact that a crazy female demon has her eyes on Cole. Making those three challenges to face in the book. Mostly due to the fact Cole and Jaz have a lot of scene time together, Coles feeling are shown more and more. Since he was introduced he has always had feelings for her, he such a great guy too so I was a sucker for him in this one.

I felt horrible for Jaz through most of the book, Vayl was of course not himself so she felt really alone. There were a lot of parts where she had inner conversations with her self that I wasn’t quite sure I liked, but it helped her get through the hard situations. I still love the tension and romance between Vayl and Jaz, their relationship will always be one of my favorites. Overall this was another great addition to the series and I can’t wait to read the final book!

RECOMMENDATION:
This is an adult book with kicking action and lots of fighting. Fans of Chloe Neill’s Chicagoland Vampires series and Jennifer ...more

My Thoughts

I have reading this series and loving it ! Vayl and Jaz's chemistry really make these books great !This story they are in Morocco to secure a artifact that is going to save Jaz's life. It will lift a curse upon her.She is running out of time .The story gets complicated as her would be lover Vayl is living in the year 1877 as he thinks her a lord. In his previous life or would could say centuries ago yes he was.Jaz and her team of friends still have to find the artifact but, it difficult as Vayl is off on his own tangent trying to save someone from his past.He needs protection so Jaz and her friends impersonate themselves and become part of his staff in order to follow him and make sure no harm comes to him while staying uncover .The cast hopes by doing so that Vayl's memory will return on its own.

This adventure is so much danger and betrayal.So much is going on beyond the scenes that danger lurks everywhere. Jaz is a sarcastic tough girl with her kick as attitude ,who you don't want to mess with and then there is Vayl being his charming self but , who's one deadly vampire even though he can't remember it.Vayl emulates power just being himself.The other characters blended well with the story and then there is her Spirit guide and her mechanical cat that are added some fun into the mix of the other serious ones.Its was a fun read full of suspense a little heart wrenching at times as Jaz thought she lost her mate for ever. There were funny scenes where Vayl talked of meeting other women that got the best of her but, she had to show restraint as Vayl isn't in his right mind but, the scenes that unfolded had me laughing out loud. And then there is my favorite part where Vayl is shown a picture of Jasmine and right away feels a connection to her picture believing she is his savior and soul mate. He has lost his mind but, not his heart as it still realizes his one true love giving Jaz hope after all.

I am a huge Jaz Parks fan. These urban fantasy novels never disappoint, and Bitten in Two is no exception. In the beginning, I was quite frustrated for Jaz, who had to deal with Vayl not remembering anyone. His amnesia left him thinking he was living in the 1700’s before he knew any of the team, including Jaz. The only thing about Jaz in this novel that I wasn’t sure about was her continued references to her dead fiancé. I understand that while Vayl was out of it, she would compare situations, but Jaz is constantly equating vulnerability to when Matt died, and I guess I’m ready for her to really move past it and let the past be past. With that said, I love the relationship between Jaz and Vayl. They understand who they are, they fit together, and they fix each other’s broken parts.
I loved the scene in Morocco, with the bright colors and the friendly hotel manager with the hots for Bergman. Jennifer Rardin is excellent with imagery. She describes in such detail, that I get a clear picture of the characters and the setting.
My favorite parts of the book are when Raoul borrows astral to impress a woman, and a certain beauty and the beast reference, where Jaz equates herself as the beast. Jaz has such a unique sense of humor, which I really enjoy and I can always count on in this series. I love that in the most dangerous settings, Jaz detaches herself from the evil with snark, sarcasm, and overall hilarity.
I highly recommend this series to any Urban Fantasy reader. The characters are memorable, fun and exciting. The last book of the series, Book 8-The Deadliest Bite, releases in June, and I can’t wait!

I had a hard time getting through this. I loved the story completely but knowing this and the last Jaz book are the last books I will ever read by Jennifer saddens me. I love her writing and I think she had amazing talent. But this is a series I treasure. It is a wonderful story and I'm glad I have gotten to know her characters and grown to love them as I do.
