A kick-ass heroine, a hot vampire boss, quirky and fun sidekicks and a lot of action and adventure… What else can you ask of an Urban Fantasy series? The Jaz Parks series by Jennifer Rardin definitely has all that and so much more.

I really, really like Jaz Parks. I like that she is messed up, she has issues, but she still manages to deal with her crazy family, her vampire boss, and her newly inherited sensitive skills. She is a tough cookie, always ready for a fight, always ready to protect the people close to her. I like Vayl as well. He’s got his own issues, he’s not just some studly super-vamp…he’s got obsessive issues. I really hope that Vayl manages to overcome his hang ups and focus on the future instead of the past

I loved this book, it was a whole turn around for the Jaz and Vahl 'look but don't touch attitude', that I am used to. I can't wait for the next book to see what becomes of them, and if Jaz ever does chose to become a Vampire. Dave finally pulled through his turmoil, and I am anxious to see if he stays with the group. Cassandra and David seem to be off to a great start; I wonder what will become of their relationship in the future. Cole continues to test his limit was Vahl, which leads to a very
