I was debating for quite some time whether to read this book or not. What with my unsuccesful picking among urban fantasy titles lately,i was afraid this book might be turn out to be a dissapointment.Having read it now, there's only one thing i can say: i couldn't be more wrong in my assumptions and i shouldn't wait so long to read it!

Nightwalker,is the first novel in what seems to be a really exciting series. It had everything i'm

I'm still under its spell. Jocelynn Drake's writing style is simply amazing, her descriptions are evocative and poetic, she is a true writer! Another series I will have to add to my TBR list!

Nightwalker is the first novel in Jocelynn Drake's Dark Days urban fantasy series, and despite the fact that at the beginning I could only progress slowly, that didn't keep me from falling in love with Jocelynn Drake's poetic writing. I was quite fond of this book. I really enjoyed its fast paced nature, and I loved how Jocelynn Drake just jumped right into the story. I liked the fact Mira was a vampire, she seemed powerful but struggled against the powers of her makers, and she was still haunted by a tragic past. She just wanted to live a simple live ruling her domain. She is a misfit even in the vampire world, but she carries her burden gracefully. She wants to be sure of her power, but she is still so scarred and afraid du ...more

I believe this book to be an excellent start for a new series. There were so many bumps and twists in this book I never found myself unable predictting anything in this book. Mira and Danaus relationship is addicting, I will be reading the next book to see where their future will lead them.
