This autobiographical graphic novel is a good story for kids or teens who encounter medical or other situations that make them look or feel different. It's also just a good story, though, which is why this book is an important addition to library collections. A book that just "teaches a lesson" is a terrible waste, in most cases. I'm generally not a graphic novel fan, but this was very enjoyable. True story sharing a few life lessons along the way. Girls who enjoyed wimpy kids would enjoy this. I'm not to sure if it would cross over to boys as well. ...more
