What Members Thought

While I wouldn't want to BE the protagonist of this book, I found that as the story went on I kind of understood him. His obsession of solving the puzzle that was his lifetime friend and neighbor was riveting, and even he would have figured things out sooner if he hadn't gotten distracted from reading Moby Dick. The reader recognizes a bit of Ahab in Quentin, and I think Quentin would have gotten that part, too.

I don't think teens are usually as deep as Green writes them to be, but I really enjoy his work. I could not stop laughing through the road trip.
