I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I'm so glad I read it. Set in Virginia during the Prohibition ad Great Depression, and moonshine...the illegal kind, and it hooked me from the get-go. Plenty of characters to love (or not) but even though there were many characters they weren't confusing to follow and keep track of who each one was as they all had such specific roles.

Interesting book that some say is loosely based on the life of Willie Carter Sharpe, "Queen of the Roanoke Rum Runners" in Franklin County, VA. Love those wild women!
