What Members Thought

This was bad. Characters, pacing, worldbuilding, writing. All bad. Last third was particularly all over the place. Couldn't have cared less by the end.

This was a cute, lighthearted read that is perfect for the season. It definitely gave me Hocus Pocus vibes, from the cozy small town to Samhain magic and a romance that is wrapped up in undoing a curse.
I preferred the last one 1/3 of the book to the rest of it, which is when I felt like the magic and relationship became most interesting for me. I was hoping for a bit more from this one, but ultimately enjoyed it as a sweet seasonal read. 🧹🔮👻

It took me some time to get into this, but once I did it was a quick read. I’ve said before that rom-coms aren’t my genre and I haven’t read a fantasy in forever, but by the last third of the book I finally accepted this book for what it was and enjoyed it more. If you are looking for a witchy read around Halloween this may be a good one to consider.

While I enjoyed the Ex Hex, i didn't find myself excited to read it. I liked the reveal of the characters and their relationships, but it was only okay for me.
