Similar to the author’s other books, the characters come alive. This is a good story about the Dust Bowl which I know very little.
5 of the biggest, brightest stars in the history of stars. Period. Read this book now.
This one was a good historical fiction story. Plot was generally good, and I appreciated the Great Depression era setting in Texas and California along with Elsa’s struggle to survive with her daughter Loreda and son Ant. I would have loved more character development since some of the relationships felt thrown together and lacked depth. It all felt a bit predictable to me.
