I wonder if I'll like the second book more than this one. I felt lost with the various groups that were different and yet weren't? It was confusing, to say the least. I still don't think I quite got why certain groups hate each other even by the end of the book, except for one group. Perhaps the author was trying to duplicate how different ethnic groups dislike each other for various reasons within the area that the novel took place in but in the imaginary world, this gets really confusing.

I really enjoyed the original story line. I thought the characters, while a little undeveloped, had so much potential. I really look forward to see where this story is going.
