We Are The Brennan's was one of my favorite books when it came out and I'm happy to say Connelly's is another winner. (I liked Brennan's a tiny bit better (personal preference with the storyline and chapter transitions), but I rated them the same.)

Thank you Celadon books for giving me an opportunity to read an advanced copy of The Connellys of County Down. I had not heard of this book until you emailed me the widget. This was a very good family drama surrounding 3 siblings Eddie, Tara and Geraldine. The story opens with Tara being released from prison for drug trafficking after serving 18 months. I loved We Are The Brennans and I was excited to read this. It was okay. I love the family drama and looking into each sibling and their issues but it wasn’t super captivating and I found myself not really caring what happened??? Also the truth that comes out at the ending was underwhelming and kinda annoying.

The Connellys of County Down was just absolutely lovely.
I adore the characters, the story flowed nicely, the plot was (mostly) believable, and the audio narration was exquisite.
I enjoyed Tracey Lange's debut novel and must say I liked this one even more.
The author just does an amazing job showing us all the messiness that comes with being part of a family. The good, the bad, the ugly. The letdowns, the betrayals, the disappointments. The hope, the support, the love for one another.
