Shelves: audiobook, read-in-2023

I really enjoyed this book. I'm always a sucker for a good family drama, and this one was no exception to that. I will say though - I could not stand Tara's sister, Geraldine. I am a bookkeeper and everything that woman was doing just irritated me more than anything. Quarterlies are not that difficult! But that's beside the point ... the book itself was great, I really enjoyed reading it and being involved in the Connelly family drama. Lange beautifully navigates the tendency to jump to conclusions, so l especially loved the emphasis on honesty, flawed family dynamics, and the courage to be vulnerable. ...more

A tough read - with a family you want to love and root for.

I found the beginning to be really slow. The prison time, the multiple POV, it took time for the plot to get rolling. Once I was half way, it sped up and I definitely liked it more. You could feel the tension building as you could see all the pieces about collide. It was a good ending.
