I love a book that keeps you thinking far after you read it, a book that just sits with you in a good way. This is one of those books. This is my second book by Meg Shaffer and I am fast becoming a big fan of hers!

A great book to take you back to childhood and all the books you loved to read. If it wasn’t for BOTM I might not have found this book and because of BOTM I hope it takes off. Extra bonus, the author is just down I-70 in CoMo and hoping she’s not a Mizzou fan.
Best book I’ve read in a long time. So heartwarming.
When I started this book I thought that it would just be a sweet story but it was so much more! I laughed, I cried and I was so touched and inspired by Lucy and her story.
What a beautiful original story! I absolutely loved this heartwarming tale that is perfect for the book lover in all of us.

Such a lovely book - about love, loss, grief, forgiveness, courage, the families we create, and the healing power of books in our lives. A surprisingly delightful debut. I look forward to more from this author!
