3.5 rounded up. This one was a surprise. It is twisty and shocking. It was a little slow at first. The MC's methodical approach to everything was a bit tedious. The toast, the hostel, the family chats, the worry about money - it made the start slow. But once the twist drops, around 50%, it's a pretty fast read from there.

Started out strong and then it seemed like the author was trying so hard to catch you off guard that it didn’t line up as much as I felt it could. I couldn’t understand all the connections which made me thing the author just wanted the shock factor. Easy book to fall into though, the writing sucks you in from the beginning

WTF did I just read?!?! What a crazy twisty book. I actually really enjoyed the first half of the book, which was a slow burn but a nice character study of Molly investigating her twin sister’s death. But then, the twist halfway through made my go “what?!?!” And made me rethink everything I’d just read. From there, the storyline just went off the rails and I was along for the crazy ride.
