The introduction to this book describes how love is central to any history and culture, and these stories aim to showcase those stories in a new way. I loved the take on it, and I was excited to listen.

I wasn’t sold on most of this book until I read the author’s note at the end. The pieces of what she was trying to do with this book clicked into place for me. This is a delightful collection of reimagined folk tales. My favorites were Osun, Siya and Zhinu
