What Members Thought

After reading The Nightingale about a year ago, I was so excited to get my hands on The Four Winds. Kristin Hannah did not disappoint- it was such a beautifully written story about a mom’s love for her kids and her determination to get them through the Great Depression. I love how Kristin Hannah highlights the work that women have done throughout history to fight for what is right. It was a tear-jerker but was so moving and powerful.

I love this so much more than I was anticipating! The size of this book is intimidating for me, especially with it being in a genre I don’t tend to read a lot of. However, this book filled me with so many different emotions. Once I was fully immersed in the story, I couldn’t put it down. A well-deserved 5 stars, and I can’t wait to read more Kristin Hannah novels!

One of the most depressing books I have ever read, but it is to be expected with Kristin Hannah. It was a slow read for me and it also wasn't one of my favorites by this author.
