We hibernate. Winter is so cold our bodies shut down and we sleep for months at a time. We bulk up in fall in order to survive the long sleep. But we also have those that stay awake during the winter, guarding those sleeping and keeping a lot of the essential things going on like heat, lights and prepping for the Spring wake-up. I really enjoyed this book! I found the humor delightful. My only complaint would be too many deaths & dismemberments!
