The beginning is so odd I almost wanted to put it down. The character of "death" narrating takes some getting used to, but you do get used to it! Overall a solid read. ...more

Wow. There is not much else to say. The words of "Death" and "The Book Thief" were astounding. When you hear that a novel is "gripping" you will begin to understand this story.

I am looking forward to our book club discussion next month.... ...more
