Книга в принципе правильная, полезная, но на мой взгляд авторам не хватает более полной картины мира. А именно картины мира со стороны руководителей компаний, которые, к сожалению, поддаются критике практически на каждый странице книги. Авторы этой книги как будто хотят перевернуть все компании, заставить кардинально измениться и практически полностью преобразоваться.

I read the previous edition, and I was really hoping that this edition would update the content for the things that have changed since then. Unfortunately, it still seems pretty dated. There's a reference to microfiche readers when designing an ideal workspace. The chapter on how distracting phones are is still there (my phone probably rings once or twice a week... I don't find that terribly distracting). The chapter on unnecessary meetings calls out daily meetings, but doesn't make any specific ...more

A software management book, put together as a series of essays, that believes that the major issues of software development are human and not technical. Is considered by many as a classic in the software development industry, and a must read, both for software managers and developers. And certainly much of what is in here makes good sense, with there is plenty of head-nodding advice.
