This short, lovely adaptation just leapt to the top of my list in this series. It’s an original, well-developed twist on the classic tale and the ending is fantastic! The heroine is not the princess in the tower, but rather, a strong, intelligent woman who isn’t afraid to let her voice be heard. Admittedly, there isn’t much Grimm here and no real villains per say but I honestly feel that the heroine’s personality and strength redeem the bubble-gum sweet story that I otherwise would have scoffed ...more
