What Members Thought
The Lie Tree offered great insight of what it was like to be a young girl around the turn of the century. Faith struggles to do what is right based on her Catholic morals. Trying to navigate the world in which she lacks the maturity or guidance. While the story addresses serious themes of antisemitism, women's roles, and society it does so with a sense of humor as Faith cannot resist mysteries. A fun, interesting read that also provides several different perspectives about life here in America.
