H-O-L-Y C-R-A-P batman! This book gave me chills.
It was absolutely terrifying about 70% of the time (like watching a horror movie and constantly being on edge because you know something terrible is bound to happen) and the other 30% was just plain depressing. I guess that is probably how it would feel once the world ended. This book was interesting. It's about trying to survive during the zombie apocalypse, even though Sloan, our main character and narrator isn't so sure se actually want to survive. This book is not mainly about zombies but the human aspect of the world ending. A bunch of teenagers try to survive in their high school and deal with the emotional consequences of losing everyone they know.
Courtney Summers writes good and she knows how to make her reader feel the emotions she needs them to feel. ...more
