I literally have chills right now after finishing this book! This is one of the most chilling dystopians I have ever read. I can't believe the ending!
I spent the first half of the book, not really enjoying the story much at all. A lot of that came from the fact that the reader is kept in the dark just as much as the main character, Thomas. Overall, The Maze Runner was an enjoyable read. In saying that, though, there were definitely things I didn't like about it. The novel has such a cool concept which is why I think it could make a pretty good film adaptation if done right.

Let me start by saying that the first 100 pages were completely gripping, and it was a real fun ride trying to figure out what was going on with Thomas and this new crazy world he was in. It was really fun.
There were some little touches about things he could only vaguely remember, like when he feels that he 'must' be a runner even though he can't understand why. Stuff like that was really cool, and it's hard to pull off without becoming annoying.

its been a long time since I've read a book that was so bad I couldn't finish reading it. I'm 3/4th the way thru the story is stuck going in circles and I can't see it getting any better.
