I tried to get into it. I really, really did. But unfortunately, I had to give up 30% in. I was really excited at first because the title seemed so interesting, and the blurb got me thrilled, too. But the characters and the way it was written really blew it for me. First and foremost, the characters felt so... flat. I couldn't empathize with Aria, which I think is a cool name. This novel started off a bit confusing but it did hook my interest after the first 10 chapters or so and I was always waiting for what comes next.
I honestly enjoyed this SF dystopian tale and I think that it's a bit underrated too. Possibly because it features the "noble savage" trope and some sort of post-apocalyptic world resting on tribes and extra human abilities which does sound a bit incorguent. Unsure what I thought this book was about. But it was very interesting and a great new subject matter that I loved. Fun characters can't wait to start the second book in the series!
