What did I think about this book?
I liked it and enjoyed reading it, but I did have some issues with the book.
First, what I liked:
The setting
I think the world was interesting and different than many other dystopias. Although I've read many books where the setting is like the pods, and many where the setting is like the outside, the juxtaposition of both was unique.

Very enjoyable. I especially liked the contrast between the futuristic techie world and the primitive post-apocalyptic world and, of course, between Aria and Perry and their views of each other's worlds. I thought it was interesting how the futuristic world of the Pods seemed sort of idyllic in a way (no disease, no danger, life is easy), but as the story went on I began to see it as a scary dystopia where people do all their "living" in virtual realms where they only think they are seeing, feel

this would have been more a 4.5/5 if the beginning hadnt confused me so dang much. but overall after i got into it i really liked it!
I only hate that I didn't read this one sooner! This book gripped me from the beginning, I just really enjoyed reading this story and didn't want it to end. Aria finds out how strong and determined she really is throughout this book. Roar and Perry and other secondary characters are well developed. I wasn't ready for this book to end! So glad I have the second book already :).
