2017 re-read: I have decided to re-read this because I never actually finished the last book of this series and I am really trying this summer to clean up my huge pile of series with missing endings. It has been about 5 years since I picked this up so I really need to actually read through each book because I hardly remember anything.

After finishing this again and reading my old review from 2012 I really can't add too much new information. I still stand by the four stars, the fact that it is ve

If you loved the Vampire Academy books:
Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1) by Richelle Mead Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) by Richelle Mead Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3) by Richelle Mead Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4) by Richelle Mead Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) by Richelle Mead Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6) by Richelle Mead then you'd love Half Blood. I gave all the VA books 5 stars;)

I love reading new series that makes me fall in love with them. It just does something to my soul! :D I also have found a new favorite author! Jennifer L. Armentrout, you are amazing! You have given me Daemon (Lux series) and now Aiden...Omg, I'm in swoon mode right now.

The first thing about this book that caught my attention was the fact that it had something to do with mythology. I didn't know how deep in went into it, but I new I had to read it. And the fact that a lot of my fellow book blogg

Half-Blood is seriously freakin' gorgeous! I devoured every bit of it and savored every moment! (And boy, don't you just love that cover?)

Let's start off with Half-blood's kick-ass heroine. Alexandria or as they often call her - Alex - is very determined, strong-willed and very impulsive. I loved her character and she's very likable. I loved reading the whole thing written from her point of view. She's got a lot on her plate and apparently, there's a lot more about herself others know about than

From the very beginning you're thrown into a very unique world. Although there is not enough time for a good intro to the world, you are pulled into the story regardless. As it goes on, the world building is PHENOMENAL! I may be biased because I am such a sucker for mythology, but seriously you guys, Armentrout is very creative.
As for the characters, Alex is definitely kick ass. I LOVE a heroine that is a fighter and can kick butt by herself. But I also felt sorry for her. Throughout the story

Okay, what's with the Titanium thing?

I mean I know they named it after the Titans but seriously, do some research. Titanium is a newly discovered metal. It was only discovered in 1791, so how exactly is it a weapon against mythological beings from 3000 years ago?

There were NO Titanium objects back in the Greek era, so why is everyone outfitted with them now. Not to mention that today it's common place in most hardware stores. You wouldn't have to go far to find a weapon that can kill a mytholog

Hm....I guess more along the lines of 3.5 stars. I ended up really liking it, but had a few problems along the way. Alex annoyed me quite often and made some completely idiotic decisions. Like seriously? There is a fine line between snarky and being a b. I liked her so long as she didn't cross the line. Aiden on the other hand just oozes sexiness. He's the perfect mix of manliness and sensitivity. Oh goodness, I fell hard for that boy. He was a total kick-butt type of guy, but was wise and had a ...more
