This was my 4th time reading TNONLG and it's just as breathtaking as the first time.
This book pretty much had me from the opening lines. In fact... That opening is pretty much in my top 3 of favorite opening scenes ever! I fell in love with Manchee from the first page. Viola too as soon as she came on board. Once Todd grew out of his whiney phase, with Viola and Manchee's help, he too won my heart.

This was a reread for me, but this time on audio. How is it possible for this book to be even better this time around? Well, it was!! Nick Podehl had a lot to with it as he was absolutely incredible narrating this book! I was so obsessed and invested in these characters; Todd, Viola, Ben and Manchee (especially Manchee!!). Aaron is in the top of my list of the most despicable of all characters. Ugh!

Could. Not. Put. Down!!! Wow!

Okay this book starts out really interesting. You can hear everyones thoughts without wanting to. Even animals right. So that is how it starts out. Than you get this guy going away and finding peace and quiet and a girl he meets who hasn't been caught up by the disease or whatever it is they have or she isn't near the town to hear the thoughts. But he can still hear hers. So they go on this adventure and find some scary stuff along the way. Its the first in a series of at least 3 books I know of
