This book didn't draw me in with the cover, not that i don't like it, it just wasn't the usual sort of thing i go for. The synopsis however was very interesting along with the prospect of quite a long series. On the cover, there's a quote: "Funny, dark and sexy." (Holly Black) I think the word DARK certainly applies, but I wouldn't say it was funny or sexy. I don't think I'm going to read the second book in the series. I guess I'm more of a fan of happy endings, and I didn't think of this as having a happy ending. ...more

This deleted extra that Clare has released that is written in Jace's Poiny of view that was going to be the prologue of "City of Bones". It was good but I prefer the current prologue in Clary's POV. ...more
