If Katie Alender's goal was to creep her readers out then I must say she did a very good job. Honestly, midway through the book, I had to turn all my daughter's Precious Moments dolls so they weren't facing me. The story was good save for a few loopholes. I couldn't understand why Alexis wasn't able to figure out earlier what was happening and how Meghan could possibly help but it was still a good, mildly (i think) frightening read. I had to stop reading this book at night afraid it might give me nightmares ( i scare easily ). Other than this book, I don't really read horror/mystery books very often. I found this one to be very interesting and captivating. The story was great and I loved how it wasn't predictable and their was a few twists along the way.
