This is somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. I really enjoyed this story by the end, as the world and characters were fleshed out more. It was still written in a very simple way, so it seemed like it was for young readers, but the few sex scenes (including a deflowering) made me wonder about that. The many-monthed journey didn't seem quite as long, but you have to remember that it's a society where the fastest transportation is by horse or ship.

If you're looking for a book with Medieval setting, then this one's perfect for you. Imagine this-- kings and queens, princes and princesses, castles, horses, swords, and the new concept which Kristin Cashore created-- Grace.
