I'm not sure what it is about this book exactly that made me LOVE it but I read it in four hours and my heart was fluttering in my chest to reach the finale. It felt so natural to enter Katniss' reality... I could taste the musky remnants of coal as it fought its way to the surface of the mine shaft. I could feel the gaunt tug of hunger in my ribs as Katniss watched the boy with the bread with invisible eyes. I could literally experience the rush of adrenaline when Prim's name was announced and

Well, what can I say? The book is awesome and addictive! I’m actually trying to find a book to read on my spare time when I saw a book review about The Hunger Games. This was a wonderful novel. It reminded me of "The Most Dangerous Game". The characters were so vivid and real in my mind and the action never disappointed. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone!
The only issue I had was that the main character, with all of her knowledge of survival and hunting, can't see the repeated signs that Peeta is really in love with her. This minor fact did not seem realistic. ...more
