I'm not sure what it is about this book exactly that made me LOVE it but I read it in four hours and my heart was fluttering in my chest to reach the finale. It felt so natural to enter Katniss' reality... I could taste the musky remnants of coal as it fought its way to the surface of the mine shaft. I could feel the gaunt tug of hunger in my ribs as Katniss watched the boy with the bread with invisible eyes. I could literally experience the rush of adrenaline when Prim's name was announced and ...more

Well, what can I say? The book is awesome and addictive! I’m actually trying to find a book to read on my spare time when I saw a book review about The Hunger Games. I got interested since it said on the book cover it is a New York Times Best Seller. I’ve read an ebook, not an actual book, so I know it’s less exciting. Même si Hunger Games est un roman pour les adolescents, je crois que les adultes peuvent l'aimer tout autant. People who like The City of Ember and The Uglies books would like this. At least I think so.

Okay, I would give this book a five out of five stars. Buuuuuut...the beginning was sooo slow! It took me forever to get into the book. I think the author did a good job of bringing the attention in early on with the announcement of the tributes, but it was a bit slow after that...up until the games started of course.

However, I was absolutely in love with the story once Katniss got to the games. The suspe

This was a wonderful novel. It reminded me of "The Most Dangerous Game". The characters were so vivid and real in my mind and the action never disappointed. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone!

The only issue I had was that the main character, with all of her knowledge of survival and hunting, can't see the repeated signs that Peeta is really in love with her. This minor fact did not seem realistic.

Originally I read this book in the beggining of 2010. I adored it! Then after seeing the movie I decided to re-readthe series and it was just as good if not better than the first time I read it.
