What a gripping story Mrs. Collins wrote. I loved the book and couldn't wait to read the next. Not what I expected what a roller coaster ride of emotions.

I jumped in and read Hunger Games trilogy after seeing the wave of mentions on the news.
Suzanne Collins's writing is fantastic--written in 1st person the voice of Katniss comes across clear as a bell, and I enjoyed being inside the mind of this gutsy girl who kills things...
The plot I kept wondering why would they do that? How could she do that? Many situations seemed implausible. SCollins throws gobs of violence into the mix so it's not a read for wimps.(I won't spoil) Because her writing is s ...more

#bookrevolution: I don't even know where to start with this. This book... too many emotions with it. From the moment Katniss volunteered, to the end when she admitted she was losing Peeta I've been hooked and craving more. The emotional turmoil one girl went through throughout the entire Games is something I couldn't survive. Katniss as a character is so strong, but in the end I felt her weakness, how her confusion was getting the best of her. I can't wait to read Catching Fire!

A wonderful book one for a wonderful series to come. Enough to even make it into a movie (hoping the movie won't disappoint as much as the other ya books-movies did)... it's action packed with a little romance and the mish-mash of all things politics... It's a wonderful read and the violence, although subtle as it may go, its a s violent as we want it to be... perfect in a sense.
