I am truly glad I read this novel. Though the subject matter was distressing I found myself rooting for Katniss and Peeta in more then one way or the other!
The author wrote a novel that I literally could not put down and each and every page I turned kept me on pins and needles!
I am thankful I picked up the 2nd in the Trilogy the other night because once I finished Hunger Games I did not skip a reading beat. So much so that I am currently on page 287 of Catching Fire and I already know that I h ...more

This proves you should never judge a book by it's cover - no pun intended. I found this book lying around at work and never would have picked it up, normally, but I was so uber bored one evening that I decided to read the first chapter. That's all it took. It's not as good as Harry Potter, but definitely it's a page-turner. Though Peeta has more exposure than Gale, i still prefer the latter. :D

Imagine Big Brother or any reality show (Survivor etc etc) but instead of getting nominated, voted out or evicted, you get killed. Then basically the last man standing wins.
I don't really want to spoil. I may write a proper review (like that's even possible) after I finish the whole trilogy.

This book was amazing! I was at the edge of my seat reading this. The plot was nothing like I have read before, but there were some "Lord of the Flies" moments for me. Great reading experience!
