This book took me several days to read. There was just so much in it, so many Intricate pieces. I-it almost a hurts me to think about it....it wasn't a pleasurable experince not was it unpleasant, it simply was the tale of a family.
Look, I am not sure what I think about this other than how impressed and saddened I am with the author and the story. It all wraps into one neat package but I can't think it through. I have this terrible suspicion that I could read and reread and find new things each ...more

In my goal this year to complete one book a month on audio I started with this one. A book I've been meaning to read for a while.
There is no doubt about it, the book and it's plot reminds of classics like Jane Austen, Bronte, and so many other authors. Not because of setting, but because of story. Her writing drew me in from the start and kept me tuning pages. Great read.
